i had an issue with my car starting before and it was the neutral safety switch. Now that that was fixed a month ago by jumping the two wires I had another issue today. The car has been fine for a month now but today I turned the key and at first I heard like a heavy click sound. Just one heavy click......I tried it a couple times and got the same click. I waited a few seconds and tried it again and the car halfway cranked. I tried it again sand the car started fully. I turned it off and back on and it only partially cranked and then started once again after another attempt. The car warmed up and from that point on it started every time in my driveway. Is this a starter issue?

 

First check whether the battery is low.

 

battery is good. i drove it around today and now it starts right up. I only had trouble a couple times while i was running errands that the car would start to crank and then die halfway through the crank but then start right up when i tried it again. i still want to replace theculprit but the last few times the car started right up without any problem. so.....doesthis sound like a starter, dizzy, spark plugs, ????

 

How do you know the battery is good? Have you tested it?

Otherwise, the starter may be on the verge of failing.
