Flashing D4 light in 1994 Accord EX
Ok I have a little problem (or maybe a big problem) I have a 94 Accord with a flashing D4 I swapped out the ecu for the tranny and it helped out alot and the v-tec was cracking but after about two days flashing again any help would be great trying to make it last as daily driver till I can get everything I need for the H22 swap and can get it changed over to 5 speed.
Locate the two-pin female diagnostic connector behind the glove box. Use a very small jumper wire or paper clip to connect the two pins. Turn key on, (do not start the engine). The D4 light should start flashing. Note that it may do long and short flashes. The long flashes mean 10. (Example, three long flashes followed by two short flashes means trouble code 32.) Possibly it could pause and display several codes, so be sure and let it run through it's cycle a few times and carefully count the flashes.
There are more than 40 codes listed in the service manual, so respond with yours and I'll tell you what the service manual says about it.

Ok thanks alot I got to try that but the strangest thing happen my check engine light came on with the d4 light but I have been letting the car sit for about a week ( drivin my Civic ) and no check engine light and no flashing d4 light crazy rite.
was curious also having a similar issue and based upon what i have read the 94-96 accord ex had the most common problem with a bum vss that would prevent it from leaving second while in drive,I also asked around at a couple of transmission shops (friends of the store) and they said the same thing, anyone else hear of anything similar?
really its bc if it was an issue with the trans it wouldnt shift at all,as well as the shift solenoid same case scenario if it were bad as well,my trans wont go past 2nd gear its an auto 95 ex 2.2
