Icon2 No power to wheels, but engine runs fine

I was driving my car to the house and i lost power to my wheels. Engine was running just fine, came over a hill and tried to accelerate and nothing. The engine and RPM's pegged but no power to the wheels. Anybody had this happen before???? Please help

OH 1 more thing My axle nuts are a b*tch to get off i could not get them to break free. ??????

1. clutch is gone
2. Broken Axle

Still a small probably broken tranny

once installed an axle, and used an impact gun wayyy too powerful for the hub nut and torqued it over the spec, axle popped out while driving a hour later, thought my clutch was gone but axle wasnt spinning in the trans arent i bright?

Or perhaps he just found the broken axle comment relevant and didn't feel the need to waste his time in saying that the car didn't have a clutch. Or perhaps he thought his automatic did have a clutch. Who knows, i've seen worse.

Ok fella's i may be a noob to the honda world but i can tell that an automatic does not have a clutch. I have a 5pd trans.i called my buddy who owns a shop and he looked at my car this morning and he told me that i needed new axles and the clutch **** itself.

the only reason you would need new axles is if the boots are torn to **** and the bearings are gone or they have been stripped.

more than likely your clutch is burned if your not going any where, but you still should be able to shift without the clutch.

when it quit putting power to the wheels i moved the shifter from 5th to 4th to 3rd and so on, but it did not matter it just rolled like i had the shifter outta gear. Oh, and the boots and the bearings were shot too.
