Default Rocky Mountain Silver Bullet

Finally got my car back on the road and after putting a few hundred kms on it I took it out west to Calgary and a bit of British Columbia to beat on it for a while.
I was a little nervous since it is the first car I have rebuilt entirely by myself (and hence she's my baby) but as soon as adrenalin kicked in I figured whatever
happens, happens. Put close to 4000 kms on it in 4ish days and it was perfect, averaged about 35 mpg on the highway and about 30 mpg in the city and
on the mountains thanks to a spot on tune. The ears were ringing every damn night though I had ordered what I thought would be a quieter muffler
for the trip but they sent me the wrong one so I was stuck with the straight through all weekend.

Mods include
Dunlop Direzza Z1 stars
Enkei RPF1s
S2000 brake system
Koni Yellows/450lb Ground Controls
Hardrace bushings
MFactory lower ball joints
Integra pinion in steering rack
B20b w/rod bolts, IHE, tune
3.07 1st B16 2-3-4 LS 5th 4.40 final
copious weight removal

Your mods sounds very healthy and fun, but you seem to be missing some important things, like lowering the car.

What size of wheels did you have to go to clear the S2000 calipers and rotors? Are you using the 11.8 rotors aswell?

when driving on manitoba roads you can't really go much lower, although for out there I could have lowered it a bit more i guess, but a 1 finger gap and
225/50/16 doesn't leave a lot of room while turning

also they're 16x7" rims at +42 offset, i dont think any 15" will fit. The front rotors are 12" and the rears are 11.3"

thanks for the comments

Nice mods and its nice to see something a little different. You definitely cant run slammed in areas like that.

They do fit certain 15" I just haven't seen anyone with rpf1 and s2000 brake setup yet. I thought maybe you might have been the first with 15's.

not sure why you need 225/50 tires but the roads arent better or worse than any other roads in your country or ours, if you have a quality suspension(which you do) the suspension travel isn't altered much by lowering it 2inches more in the rear. just saying.

those roads are in alberta ($$$) the roads in manitoba, specifically winnipeg where i do most of my driving are garbage. also i like the raked look of the car
with the *** end higher i guess im just a hot rodder at heart

tires are for performance obviously

brain much? those tires are for road/auto-x racing. HP means nothing. A little d15 can run those tires and put them to use. Have some common sense.

Driver makes cars faster, not tires. Try less sarcasm there, guy.

if it was wingless and had an Em1 lip with a bit more low it would be a really really nice car.

going with an EM1 lip down the road but the one on there was only 10$ plus 20$ for paint. Everything on the car except the wheels and rubber has been
done inexpensively, I have very little money into the car. I would also go wingless if/when I can find another trunk lid for cheap. this is something a little
bit different and in my eyes it sort of suits the car with the black trim around the windows and the molding on the sides.

and get over the tire thing man, I went serious with the brakes and suspension. since there isn't a lot of weight I had to get the grip somewhere else.
even with a stock engine a car can still be fast, straight line acceleration is only one aspect of performance. There are much better toys for that type
of thing than a honda civic lol.
