Anyne know how to change window REG.
Hey all, any one know how or can direct me to how to change a driver side window regulator...My sisters window wont roll up or down, motor dosent make any noise....
Is it just the driver's side that doesn't work, or is it both sides?
Are you sure it's the power window motor and not a fuse, relay, or the power window switch? Have checked or tested those?
Here's a quick photo-guide I made a while back for removing the door panel. Not the best, but it should do. You'll find the power window motor in the door.
You don't have to remove the tweeter, but it does make things a bit easier. Just carefully pry it off. It's only held on with a couple clips.

I recommend checking and testing the other items before you go ahead and replace the motor for the window. You should test the motor, also. Just disconnect it and run a lead from a 12v battery to it. It'll either go up or down. If it doesn't work, replace the motor.

Mind going into more details on how to do this? Also I believe there's two bolts involved that you can only unscrew when then window is down at a certain point, how would one go about rolling the window down to unscrew them?
if its definately the window regulator, I have a spare one if you want it for cheap (its just collecting dust...make an offer and its yours). I replaced it thinking that was the problem and it turned out to be the switch in the door.
I was looking at this guide.

The glass can still be removed from the power window assembly, even if the motor doesn't work.
Finally got around to do this today and I got the motor to work. Only fuse I checked was the one for power window under the hood and it looked fine, I even replaced it with my spare. Whats next to check?
Amazing, while doing some more google searching I found out about the lock out switch, I've owned this car for a year and one month now and I never looked at the buttons on my side. To think since day one all I had to do was push that button and plug it up, was unplugged when I first opened the door.
Sorry, but to think I went a whole year not being able to roll that window down and it was a damn 5 minute fix.

I can't wait to go for a drive.
Thanks for the help.

Just when I was enjoying my window it messes up again. I was installing my window deflectors and was rolling the window up and down and now the window just goes down. Testing with my other motor and it only goes down with the switch as well.
