Default smokes like a freight train

I got my car tune like a week ago. and on that day i was driving back it was a 5hr drive. Dispite i didnt check the oil after the car got off the dyno i thought the car would be fine. midway back i probably got on it like twice and the car started to smoke white smoke. I think the tune was kind of shitty because he only did 3 pulls. the ar was 11.70 and i thought that was kind of lean. i have no motor work down at all just put on a very nice turbo kit. Anyway when i got home that day i had no oil in the motor. do yall think its a ringland or a broke piston. and if so what route would u take to put it back together. i want to drive the car really bad i do have a spare bottom end sitting up.

hmm..ok.

So you didnt check the oil before a 5 hours drive, and you have a turbo?! If you got white smoke, your head gasket is blown. But that doesnt make any since you were able to drive it that long while smoking.

Hey man all jokes aside we all are "maintanence guru's" in our own respect, but i had the same problem and it was a blown head gasket and it warped the head and cracked the block. i only drove it maybe 50 miles after that happened. But I would have the head pressure/vacuum checked. and get your block checked. You may have to go to a thicker head gasket and stronger head bolts. Hope this helps.

All BS aside man, a leak down test is your best bet, it will tell you exactly where the problem is. Don't know how to perform one or have the tools? Google it or search here and maybe rent or buy the tester. Do you have a compressor?

Thanks I do have a compressor thanks for the info. Why did the motor last so long til I got home it was bone dry. Was the tune ok the car made 270 hp on 10psi. But I'm glad I got back home safely the car was pretty quick I must say. But when I left my friends master tech at Honda. And the car was tech inspected for the road. I drove the from ms to Huntsville ala with no problem. It's might funny that oil leaks out after the dyno run.

Man I don't know why people think they r perfect stuff happens all the time don't think just because u change ur oil today and top it off the next couple of days. U might hit something and not know about and u don't have oil. It happens to people all the time. I going to take the motor and trans out and put a head gasket and a new bottom end and called it a day. I'm wiring tucking it while every thing is out.

Dude, leakdown test it before tearing it apart! Don't assume you know what is wrong with it, test and be certain.

I know theres oil in my car because I have an oil pressure gauge. I got rid of my idiot light. It could be low but if I had none I'd also have no pressure.

your still trying to run it? dont. sounds like maybe more than a head gasket, sounds like you ran it out of oil and drove it a long distance, did you do any tests?
