Recently, the battery in my accord completely died (lights wouldn't turn on, no radio, etc.). I replaced the battery and for some reason my radio code no longer works. I have used it just fine before.

Any ideas?

 

I have a spare radio with the code for sale :D

 

You can either remove the radio and retrieve the serial number or try using a small mirror ( the letters/numbers will be backwards ) and go to your local dealership. Bring your registration and be polite. They will probably run the serial number and give you the code.

 

Thanks for the replies, but I already have the code (came with the car) and I've used it successfully before. Balwin I might have to hit you up for that radio, sigh.

 

What is displayed on the radio? Err # ?

 

Just fixed it! Removed the negative battery cable for 30 mins and reconnected. Voila the code works.

 

Thank you so much for posting your follow up! I was sure I remembered my code for my 94 honda accord. I wasnt sure if it's 4 numbers or 5! So I probably did put it in wrong the first time! Thanks again stay safe!

 

following to remember this

 

I got my serial number of radio and vin number off my car googled " find radio code" it took me to a honda site where it ask for these two only. Put the serial number and vin in along with my email and they emailed me the code in less than 5 minutes! Hope this helps!
