I had my engine rebuilt with hastings rings, broke it in properly and everything, and it smoked like crazy, I had to have it rebuilt again with different rings. In my book hastings rings suck, looking back I wish I had spent the extra money on oem, but ive heard nippon are good too.

The RS Machine pistons come with Hastings rings. Plenty of people have good results with them, myself included... <4% leakdown on all cylinders.

I had a bad experience with them so my opinion is biased, I bought them to begin with cause so many people said they were second best to oem and alot cheaper, so I guess its not fair to say their bad when so many people have success with them, but I wont ever buy them again.

Oem does not make piston rings in 81.5mm, the oem overbore size is 81.25. You will have to get an aftermarket set of rings.
