anyone ever had there pwr steering fluid bottle relocated?is it even a good idea?

 

what would be the purpose? to clean things up or make room for something else?

just an opinion... the best place to relocate it is into your spare parts pile, haha. swap the rack for a manual or loop the current rack. then you can also relocate the P/S pump and hoses.

 

Replacing the rack and pinion all to clean things up Is over kill. Theoretically if you had longer hoses to run and added more fluid to compensate, it should work, "theoretically". I've been thinking of relocating my power steering reservoir also to clean things up but so far haven't figured it out. I hate its ugly ***. I see tons of eks with b swaps with no power steering pumps tho. Did they all swap racks or what?

First off, don't bump a 3 year old thread. No one likes people who bump 3 year old threads.

Second off, you don't have to swap the rack, you can just loop it. An hour in your garage/driveway/parking lot, basic hand tools, and a couple cheap parts from Lowes are all you need.
