Default Door panel install

My door panels were removed a while back for an inspection (speaker wiring/tint glue issue) and re-tint. I tried for a few minutes to get one back on, but ran out of time. The gray push in clips lined up but I can't remember if the top "seal" is supposed to go over the door frame, or not. Anyone have a suggestion, or advice on the best way to get these back on? I had it on for the most part, but there was a nice gap towards the mirror area of the panel itself. I just don't want to break any of the brittle 11 year old plastic.

Car is a 99 Civic CX, btw.

i angle it down in the front and do the top seal first, then it usually pops in place, ek ones are a little bit tricky for most people

So, angle the top in, towards the glass. Starting with the area near the speaker/mirror?

I'm not with the car at the moment, just wanting to get an idea of how to go about it before I start. Running out of daylight for the day, too.

Exactly. Angle it top first toward the mirror, then when the whole top of the panel is in place then push all the clips.

Yeah, hook the top "lip" thing over first, then push it in for the clips, then tighten the screws. It's easy enough but the plastic will break really easily. I actually ended up buying a new door panel on ebay because mine basically disintegrated when I had to remove it a few times.

Thanks again. Getting ready to go do the passenger's side and be done with it.

And D Griff, that's exactly what I was worried about.
