ive been stuck on this for 3days now. im running an obd1 p72 and ive already swapped in teh stock p28 but the problem never went away. the only CEL im getting is 14. ive already tried changing the map sensor for one from a running car and still nothing. the car idles decent around 1500 runs rich as **** but when i give it any kind of throttle it dies. the only thing not hooked up from the stock gsr motor is that black box with a vacum hose running to a black sensor on top of the manifold.

has anybody ever had this experience. i really am at a loss as far as what to do next. if i need to ill post pics..

 

IACV is either bad, or you have a couple of things plugged in the wrong places (most likely IACV and Evap purge are backwards)

 

What engine harness are you using?

 

i believe the iat sensor and iacv share the same plug style, so you might have those backwards

 

99gsr. the whole swap is still a 99. i didnt change anything

 

Sounds to me like u got a bad P28 ecu Fred...
