Default Ultimate Honda Engine Swap Guide

I came across this a few years ago when I was starting my project. I thought I would post it here cause it might help someone else.

http://krang.modified.com/tech/swapguide1.pdf

Also I have this table of things needed to do a B16A or B18A swap. I couldn't find it online again so I'll just type it here. So you know The table I have only list kits from Hasport but there are other, and cheaper, ways to do this. For instance my mounts came from innovative mounts and were a lot cheaper. I pulled the STD, and the SI wiring diagrams off Michel on demand and made my harness. I'm still using the D15 throttle cable. I had a machine shop cut my linkage to size (you will need Integra linkage but it needs to be shorter).

B16A
Mounts-Mount kit

Shift Linkage- Linkage kit or custom cut

ECU- PR3(90-91 Integra XSi or RSi), PW0(89-91 Civic/CRX SiR) or ZDYNE one wire conversion ECU

Engine wiring harness- For port injected models a wiring conversion kit or custom make it
For dual point injected models use a wiring conversion kit or custom make it.

Other electrical parts- For dual point injected models you will need an injector resistor box.

Axles- 90-91 Integra axles and half shaft.

Upper radiator hose- 92-93 Integra GSR, Acura part number 19501-PR3-000

Lower radiator hose- 90-91 Integra, Acura part number 19502-PR4-A00

Throttle cable- 90-91 Integra, Acura part number 17910-SK7-A03

Misc. Parts- If your car is a CRX HF or a Civic Std (4 speed) you will need Knuckle and hubs from any other model Civic or CRX except the 90-91 Civic EX. If you want to use knuckle and hubs from the 90-91 EX, you will also need the calipers, rotors and brake lines. The EX has larger brakes.

B18A
Mounts- Mount kit

Shift linkage- Linkage kit or custom cut

ECU- PR4 (90-91 Integra LS,GS) ECU

Engine wiring harness- Conversion kit or custom make it

Other electrical parts- For dual point injected models you will need an injector resistor box. Can be pulled from donor car of B18A

Axles- 90-91 Integra axles and half shaft.

Upper radiator hose- 90-91 Integra, Acura

Lower radiator hose- 90-91 Integra, Acura part number 19502-PR4-A00

Throttle cable- 90-91 Integra, Acura part number 17910-SK7-A03

Misc. Parts- If your car is a CRX HF or a Civic Std (4 speed) you will need Knuckle and hubs from any other model Civic or CRX except the 90-91 Civic EX. If you want to use knuckle and hubs from the 90-91 EX, you will also need the calipers, rotors and brake lines. The EX has larger brakes.

Thank you for the add-on. That one is a lot more informative than the one I found. And quite honestly probably would have saved me some time on my swap.

If I understand correctly, you have the harness for the engine in which case you will just need the correct ecu. Like if you have an OBD1 engine then get an OBD1 ecu. But if you want to go OBD0 you will need to make the engine OBD0 too. It's all explained in the link BiG ChOr!Zo Posted. Good luck with your first swap.
