2000 gsr motor in 2000 civic cx hatch...so the only wire I have left on the dizzy is the one shown hanging out by the dizzy, which I assume is the RPM lead signal wire. Is it suppose to be wired to the hanging blue wire right by the driver side shock tower (second photo with the rubber boot over it)? Another member told me that's where the RPM lead signal wire is supposed to be wired to, but I want to make sure because 1) I don't have a wiring diagram of this, so if anyone can confirm, and 2) this car is going to BAR. Anyone can confirm, much appreciated. I did a lot of searching, but there is very little information on this pertaining to obd2b civic, which do not come with an RPM lead signal wire at he dizzy, so I'm hoping we get a definitive answer so this can help ppl in the future as well.

 

OBD2B civics and Integras get their tach signal from the ECU, as opposed to OBD1 and OBD2A civics and Integras that got their tach signal from the igniter in the distributor. If you're running an OBD2B GS-R ECU (which I assume you will be to pass BAR, you wont need to wire it (you might need to do something with the wire though to prevent a visual fail) if you are running an OBD2A ECU you will need to wire up the tach signal wire, you can as you mentioned tap it into the tach test signal wire (the one with the little cap on it)

 

Yes, I am running an OBD2b p72 to pass BAR. I thought only the 99-00 Civic was the only exclusive gen that did not have an RPM lead signal wire? I got that info from the diagram below, which seems to suggest the 2000 GSR motor I have does have an RPM lead signal wire. However, beyond that, you are saying I can wire that little blue wire to the one with the CAP, no problems right, and you sure its the correct one? like he said, since you are using an obd2b ecu you don't need to do anything with the wire at the distributor besides tape it up.

 

SOOOOoOOo, my RPM gauge does work, fyi, so I'm still confused as to why that chart says the obd2b integras (97-01) have an RPM lead signal wire. I'm assumming ffsquad is just wrong with the chart than?

 

Honda never changed the distributor plugs on Integras, they kept the large plugs. Also only '00 - '01 Integras are OBD2B.

I have a 94 EG Hatch. with a JDM B18B with a JDM - P7H - OBD2a ECU,

And I do not have any RPMs...

So... I can run that blue wire (with the cap) to the blue wire on the 10 pin Dizzy. and that would give me RPMs?

please let me know ASAP.

 

that blue wire from dizzy goes on A19 pin in OBD2B ECU, everything work grate.

 

What if you have a chipped p28?
