i have a 90 ef hatchback with a d15b1 a d15b7 head and a dpfi intake. my question is after i let it warm up and the fan comes on at least twice the car when i give it gas not a WOT but enough to move the car will be hesitant and it feels like a lite misfire and then itll go and then a little later do it again. if i have the heater on it seems to not happen as much. i checked some of the basics here
1 you can hear the fuel pump whine when the main relay primes it.
2 checked fuel pressure by unpluging the vacuum line from the pressure regulator and the guage went to 40 psi engine still ran.
3 checked the resistance of the auxiliary and primary injector they were within tolerance.
4 the intake air temperature sensor resistance was fairly high(does this sensor do anything to affect driveability?).
5 resistance in the spark plug wires was within tolerance. just cleaned off the oil from the spark plugs not to long ago, there gap was .42 still from package. 6 you can wiggle the timing belt not alot but enough to keep an eye on it on both sides of the cam gear.

 

another thing is that the spark plug wires on two of the cyclinders do not sit down all the way on the area they should seat

 

hi again got new spark plug wires seemed to run fine was reving her through the rpms to get it to miss and she did again eventually um took apart the distributor the coil has all sorts of cracks on the plastic body still gota test ignitor anyone able to help or give me a hint on this one ???
