Well, I turned my car on for the first time since my father and I have been working on it. It turned over beautifully, but when we tried to put in gear it wouldn't. It would grind like were not even holding the clutch down, but we are! I tried to tighten the clutch cable to see if that'll work but no luck. And its weird cause I could only go to the reverse gear and it gronds. 1 2 3 4 5th gears wont even engage. But when the car is off, I can engage all the gears... when the car is on only reverse, and that gear grinds...

This is what weve done to the car.

New flywheel and pressure plate
New pilot baring
New passenger axle
new water pump
and new timing belt

Please someone help me with this weird problem

 

check your clutch adjustment. I had that problem and that fixed it.

 

Yeah I did that. I tightened it and nothing still has happened. Should I try to loosen it?
