Default Removing the Alternator

awrite so right now im changing the alternator on my ef, ive already unbolted the pivot bolt and the tensioner bolt.

my question - how do you get it out of the area?? i tried finding an opening from the bottom but the driveshaft gets in the way.

Pop the driveshaft out from the inner cv mate.

Thats the easiest way. You could remove the intake mani but thats grief.

Just jack up the drivers side front wheel. This will lower the axle and you can then past it down thru.

Just did this on mine yesterday.....Unbolt altenator and the bracket holding the altenator. Take off driver side front wheel and pop it out the side

Remove the master cylinder. Only two nuts and you can do it from above. Hands down, easiest method. Without disconnecting brake lines you can just hold it aside to pull the alt out.
