i've done some research on this previously, and from what i've read seems to say you have to do your own wiring. I guess some people just tapped into the dome light. But i'm guessing you can do your own wiring to the fuse box.
Hope this helps.

My friend has it, all he did was tapped into his dome light wires, and used 2 dome lights from another car, 1 on each side, to light it up, he trimmed the carpet away, kinda looks good.
Trouble shoot it. take the back plastics off your trunk and see where the trunk trigger wire is/color. That's one of the wires you want to tap into, then pull out a wiring diagram and find a constant power, or run one from the fuse box.
thats how the EG's have it done. We have "optional/accessory" plugs on the fuse box that allow to run a constant wire. Made it pretty easy. Its been a while since I had my EJ so I don't remember if those have em too.
Then after you do all that, take pics and make a DIY for everyone else.

I wrote a DIY for a 5th Gen Civic trunk light. The concept is EXACTLY the same for a 6th Gen. Constant (+) power from the fuse box, ground it (-) by splicing in to the same wire that shows if your trunk is popped on your gauge cluster. Very very easy.
