Is it possible to pull the wiring harness with the engine still in the car?
Hey guys this is my first post in the civic forum but I own a prelude so I browse the forums quite a bit. My buddy just picked up a 99 civic dx coupe with a non running h22a swap and I said I would try and lend him a hand in getting it on the road. The wiring harness in this thing is electrical taped all to hell and I want to pull it out to solder it up and check the wiring all together. I know in the FAQs that there are diagrams and whatnot to help me check and make sure the thing is at least wired up semi correctly (the car did run at one point and was throwing a code then it died one day and never started again) but what I want to know is if I can pull the harness out without pulling the engine. I would check the codes but the car sat with the battery pulled for a while and doubt the codes are still in the cars memory so I figured the best place to start with this thing would be cleaning up the wiring.
