Can anyone recommend 5 star motorsports in North hollywood!?
Ive been thinking of taking my shell to get swap with them? can anyone vouch for them??anyone been there?got any type of work done with them?
I actually know 5star pretty well, my teg is there as we speak. So far nothing but great experience, Ive been through 3 other tuners around long beach area, san bradino area, and riverside.
but I found 5star and loving it, they will tell you what you NEED to hear, not want to hear.
and the owner him self works on the cars there also so you know it's in good hands. just check out his rides , good proof it's a good place to go
PM me if you have any questions regarding 5star

Hey,
I've been through the unpleasant experience of going here and getting ripped off!! I went in to get a 98 type-r swap....to make a long story short, the owner "Jay" (Alvaro ) completely f****d me and my swap:
After having a bunch of problems after 5 star installed my swap, I eventually took my car to another shop (inline four) to get it checked out. There I found out he had not installed a 98 itr but rather an old 97 itr motor and worn out gsr transmission. I confronted Jay and he pretty much gave me the run around, refusing to help me out, giving me one bs story after another, and then eventually trying to blame ME for the problems. He told me he was getting my parts from hmotorsonline.com yet when I called them, Steve the owner, told me the remembered Jay calling about a type-r swap but that no swap was ever actually ordered/purchased from them.
This forced to me to get involved with BAR and then the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA). During this stage I found out Jay already has MULTIPLE lawsuits pending for fraudulent work against him and his shop and (the most recent I think being he told the customer he replaced a head gasket, yet never actually did the work and the head blew). Basically the rep from DCA knew exactly who/what I was talking about when I reported my case as he was currently wrapping up another report on Jay and 5 star when I called!
I took him to court, and won the settlement, but all in all it was mostly a waste of my time and money. Currently he has a state order to close his shop and not preform any more work (although he obviously hasn't).
Meeting Jay is deceiving as he is a really personable guy, but is a scammer!! Watch out and don't learn the same lesson me and three other people have learned already. I'm not saying decent cars haven't come out of there but w/ my experience I will personally never go back, especially as my story turned up to be one of many.
Jay also likes to cruise the posts and rep his shop through different user names so don't take the enthusiastic responses too seriously.....
Hope this helps/ hope u have not taken your car there already and if so get out while u can!

in my honest opinion i agree with eros906. Put in your own work, learn research and do it yourself. If something messes up then you have no one else to blame but yourself.
What teg? and whos your "boy"
as far for apotmesil.. he drove the car for a year.bang the **** out of it then we talked about his lsd ..came to an agreement that time had passed to long, but still rectified all the issues ,gave him huge discount and still wines
cant do much if you drove the hell out of it then come a year and a half later that ***** not right ?
