Default Car not running right

hi, well i have a 2000 honda civic si b16. I modified it to have a compression that is higher or close to a integra type r with stock b16 pistons. well my problem is that from time to time the car has response lag. i beleive. like when im in first gear, full stop, when i accellerate to go it doesnt really go, kinda feel like its almost hopping by. the car would feel like it lost power then get a jolt then lose it. its does happen throughout all the gears but more frequent on 1st gear. im currently running on obd2 ecu. Any ideas?

well at first the distributor was bad litterally died, replace it with a cheap ebay one. checked sparks all were fine as far as i can tell. the sensors on the throttle body are all there as far as i know and tuned properly with volt meter. my compression was around 230 psi so should be fine. but just dont know why car chugs sort of say.
