hey my 1992 civic sedan d15b7 has been burnin oil, i recently had the head rebuilt by a mechanic, and then after i had that done its still burning oil. i took it to another mechanic and they said that the piston rings were shot, but didnt tell me how long till my motor completly quits on me. im just wondering how long till the motor actually dies? its been running fine except the burning a bit of oil....

 

i been running my b16 with the same problem and it's been more then a year..

 

get someone to change the rings for you

 

Just keep oil in it, my friend has been crusing on bad rings for almost a year.

When you say a bit of oil how much are we talking here?

 

Yeah, just make sure to check/add oil frequently until you can afford to fix it/get a new car or swap or whatever you want to do with it.
