what kind of tranny fluid to use for 94 ls
I heard mix reviews. some say synthetics are good, some say they are bad and screw up syncros. some say stick with oem oil.
what is the truth? any first hand experiences?
thanks

Definately Honda MTF, I've heard Redline can cause premature wear of synchros, but I don't know for sure. I had it in my tranny, but I didn't like it that much. Honda is great and cheaper than Redline, BG.

use Honda MTF and change your oil whenever you feel shifting isn't as good as new oil.
I change my tranny oil every 6000-9000 miles, depending on how good it feels.

you'll need about 2.3-2.6 qrts..... you also need a pump to get the new tranny fluid in. I just did mine the other night....had some honda stuff in there before, but added redling.... made my shifting a lot smoother, no more rough crunching noises in reverse, and first was a lot easier to put in.... i like my redline MTL stuff so far...

. .yeah about 2.3 quarts... I used a $5 pump I got at the autopart store... its a pump w/ a approx 2 or 3 foot long clear vinyl tube so you can pump the fluid into the fill hole.. works great.. I've heard of other people using a funnel w/ a flexible tube also...
