shock/spring question!?
i dont if i should get the tokico illiuma, tokico premium, or koni yellow? what are the difference among these 3, like how do you adjust them, comfort level, and reliability? also, i was thinking about H&R or eibach pro kit. any suggestions? pros/cons? 1.5in drop is what i am looking for. i want my car to handle with a minimum on body roll during hard cornering. also, i dun want to spend too much on them. does anyone know how much they will cost?
I would narrow it down to koni yellows or tokico illumina's. 1.5" drop can be handled easily by pretty much any shock. My car is lowered so the top of the tires outline my wheel wells and my ride is good. Either company makes a reliable product. I would even say go with koni over tokico, I've never heard anything bad about them. I got such a nice deal on my setup I had to take it. (735 shipped, 4 shocks + coilovers)
I'm very pleased w/ my Koni Yellows and Eibach Sportlines.. I've had this setup for 3 years... got the springs about 5 years ago (I was still in college.. couldn't get both at the same time
)... and got the Koni Yellows about 3 years ago.. they haven't given me any problems, ride is smooth, handles great, and I can turn it up to firm when I want ...
as for how to adjust them.. their is a **** that comes w/ it.. you plug the **** in to the top adjustment tab and turn towards firm (or soft) whichever way you want to adjust them.... comfort level.. on full soft it is very comfortable...comfort level is up to you... I've driven on 500 or so mile trips from So Cal to Nor Cal (only stopping for gas) and their comfortable enough for my back not to hurt or anything... reliability... I drive pretty hard and they have been through 3 years of my use...
cost I paid $550 shipped/taxed about 3 years ago for a set (4..2 front, 2 rear) of Koni Yellows....
