hit a curb, bent subframe
that is what it looks like the previous owner did.
I had to replace the original rims because they were wobbling.
After I did this the car was pulling left, so took it in for an alignment and one side of the front has way more positive camber than the other side.
I appears that I may have a bent subframe, as all the other suspension pieces look good.
Should I take it into a frame shop and let them straighten it, or buy a new one?
I heard that a new subframe is only about 350....anybody ever do this?
thx

it is the front, and I had heard they arent too difficult to do.
I'm just wondering if I should risk a junkyard or craigslist. I might end up with another bent one.
Maybe just have a frame shop straighten it out for me?

the front subframe is detachable just unbolt it and get a new one from the junkyard.you might need to get your frame straighted if the new subframe doesn't bolt up.

The large black pressed steel frame that keeps the front of the car stiff and mounts the lower control arms. On the front you have 2, 1 that keeps the front chassis legs together adn 1 that holds the suspension and steering gearbox assembly.
aka - front crossmember
go to the junkyard, find any 88-91 civic, check to make sure the cross member is not bent, then it's only 4 17mm or 19mm
(i believe they are 19mm) bolts that hold it up plus the 2 per side 17mm bolts that hold the radius rods to the lower control arms. so 8 bolts total. shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes tops.
