So I bought a replacement remote for my 95 accord on ebay but I can't get it to program.

I followed the instructions with basically goes like this: turn ignition to II then back to I (repeat 3 times). By now the locks are supposed to cycle (enter programming mode), then turn to II one more time to complete.

When I looked on their site, the instructions don't apply to any accord before '98.

I think I can return it for a refund but what should I do? How can I test to see if the problem is with the receiver or the remote?

Oops... please somebody move this to the accord board, I must be drunk.

 

this isnt the accord forum... dont know if that makes much of a difference though
