Default Insight on the dyno

I just wanted to share a little dyno video of mine and Josh's car on the dyno. The car has been sitting in the garage collecting dust for 2 years, so we spent a little time updating some stuff with the ECU and fuel system, as well as finally getting a transmission together. One of the things we changed was switching from a FAST ECU to an AEM...which I won't lie was a little challenging but we are real happy with the AEM now. We were nervous about learning the AEM software on the dyno with our new motor, so we put this old beater in there and the ECU was real easy to get used to. We had it making 365 in 5 pulls and made a total of 11 finding a little more every pull. We put this motor together in 2005 and it has been basically a dyno mule to test external changes. It is real basic but it has so many pulls on it I don't even know if I could guess how many. This was the first K motor we put together and it has remained unchanged internally except for valve springs.

We just got some new gearing thanks to MFactory and are replacing a failed clutch master so hopefully this coming week I can do a better job behind the wheel.:driving: I'm rusty!! Then put the bigger motor in once those bugs are worked out argghhh

.89 with 340hp and a stock transmission. We have had 1/8 mile passes that killed the numbers on that pass then the car would just shut off when I went to 4th and go 10.0-10.2 @ 98 or some crap like that LOL. That is why we switched to the AEM...the FAST was around 12 years old and had some issues. It was actually a speed pro ha ha. I hope to do a little better this time around but I'm pretty rusty on driving it. We are working on making the clutch and transmission easier to drive. It hasn't been the most user friendly in the past.

How much different is the new motor vs the old and ur projected goals for hp and et mph.

Also are u guys running alcohol or race gas.

BTW

Good power for a old motor and 12 passes on a new engine management.

Bigger stroke, aluminum rod, 100g lighter piston, higher compression, 40cfm more from the head, bigger cams, etc. etc. Very different motor. It is running methanol.

350 @ 8500 and 360 @ 8700. We need to work on the tune a little and I think we can bring the middle up some.
