Default HELP!!! D15B2 Stock Auto Tranny

I have a 1991 Honda CRX DX with the stock auto tranny. The car does fine in 2 and D3, but as soon as i put the car in D4 and try and drive at a normal speed it unloads and reloads in about a second. Idk what the problem is and i dont have the funds to do a 5 speed swap. I just wanna fix my current problem and have a good running car.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. You're going to need to either describe this problem in better detail, or pay someone who knows what they are doing to look at it. Based on your vague description, it sounds like you may have a problem with the torque converter lockup clutch, but without driving the car for myself, I can only speculate over the internet. You need to be our eyes and ears when test driving your car.

What does "try and drive at a normal speed" mean? How fast are you going? Are you accelerating, decelerating, or holding a steady speed? What gear is the transmission in when this problem occurs? Does it only happen when the trans shifts to 4th gear, or does it happen in 2nd or 3rd? What does "unloads and reloads in about a second" mean? Does the trans shift hard or violently? Does it shift slow or hesitantly? Is it shifting into all four gears? Do the revs flare up momentarily when the trans selects the next gear?

I'm not being intentionally curt; we simply can't make any sort of conclusion with the description given. More information is needed.
