Default Timing belt replacement

I need to replace the timing belt soon on my 01 Accord, 4 cylinder. I was wondering is there a write up procedure on this forum on replacing the timing belt? Thanks

You can probably follow the 90-97 Accord writeup. It is about the same. You can buy a complete writeup from this YouTube person, he goes step by step. I saw it on his website http://www.ericthecarguy.com/fix-it/ I never seen the video, but his other videos are really detailed and he shows you tips.

For me, I used the DIY 90-97 Accord Timing belt change (in the Accord FAQ) when I changed my 01 Accord timing belt

Just making sure, what is the service interval for the timing belt? Is it 90,000 miles?

Yeah, I believe its 80,000-90,000 mi. Do the Water Pump while you're at it too.

just use my write-up in the FAQ, it's better than that video

seriously though, you can print the instructions from a PDF download that is linked in the write-up, that way you can have it with you while working on the car.

Timing belts are very important. They control the valves and pistons of the machine. If the timing belt should break pistons can drain valves, which break the engine in a way that would cost much expenses we are talking about 2000-3500 dollars. Your car is about twice the mileage that the timing belts should be replaced. Consider that you have a sense.

I followed this video and some guidelines from the Honda Accord repair manual and was able to succesfully replace the timing belt on my F18B3. I never did a timing belt before on any car. This video is very helpful.
