The lighter it is the faster you have to shift. Mine is a 7 lb aluminum Fidanza and I absolutely love it. Also have a short shifter. As far as material goes, I don't really think it matters. They're both good. I'm gonna guess you're talking about the kits on eBay?

you may notice a small difference in shifting, but a lot of it comes from the short shifter and the clutch assembly itself. I just installed an Exedy Stage 1 with their lightweight flywheel when I swapped the s4c w/ lsd into my em1. The combination of all of it made quite the difference. I would definitely advise not going with Ebay kits though.

I had an XTD Stage 3 ebay clutch/flywheel kit for 2 years with no issues, so I'd highly advise you do go with ebay and save yourself a couple hundred dollars... Lifetime warranty as well...

I have used a number of setup's...my opinion for experience......

Go with good quality parts, after all, they are your drive train, important stuff!!!

ACT makes some of the very best flywheels out there for the money. They are strong and will "last"

Clutch, "always" go with a good brand!! ACT, Exedy, Centerforce, Clutchmasters are my favorite brands. Sure, all clutches work, and other will tell you they do, but the better brands work "better"

They have better drive characteristics, can last longer, and have smoother engagement. Also important!

Yeah, I've had 3 ebay clutches so far. One xtd stage 3 (on boost), a stock replacement and an F1 Racing stage 4 (on boost) and I've never had a problem with them. Ebay stuff seems like it's gotten better over the years... Wouldn't trust the suspension stuff yet though...

I would have loved to go with a big name brand, but I decided to save $400 on the clutch for a stock motor on low boost. Once I get around to building something, you better believe I'm going with a high quality clutch.

Obviously you're more ignorant than you are intelligent, my clutch/flywheel outperformed my ACT and Exedy, next time study before you speak..

I was boostin 12psi for about 2 years with my XTD kit and I never had one issue... I did a writeup a while back on a "Budget Build" with all ebay parts "some name brand parts also but they were bought off ebay" and it definitely surpassed my expectations... I'd recommend XTD to anybody I come across, top quality for low price...

Stop labeling Ebay as a brand name.
