Anyone in here know someone who can bust out a auto-manual swap on a BB1 lude? How much for parts and labor? I'm in the Temecula/Riverside area but willing to drive up to LA or SD if needed...

Parts alone will be around 1000$ depending what you can get your hands on.

A nearly complete list off the top of my head would be:
transmissions
axles
halfshaft
clutch/flywheel/pressureplate/throwoutbearing
shift linkage
shift boot
shifter
center console piece
all pedals
master cylinder
slave cylinder
hydraulic lines
radiator (or modify the existing one)

that should be more or less all of it.

 

it sounds like basically not worth the trouble or hassle at that price for parts then. wow!

same stuff is needed... although parts are
more readily available..

 

Sell it and buy a 5spd.

 

I think i might just do that even thoe i got the car for free from a family member.
