firestone lifetime alignments worth it?
they worth it? better ideas/places? and are there any non bull **** firestones/other branches that do that? i never let shops like firestones/sears/big-o etc touch anything i own unless i really must
money is an issue and i don't want to pay 80+$ for GOOD alignments every so often
looking for non bullshit shops within the bay area i.e) some places wont do the alignment if car is lowered or if it has any other mods etc

i have it. pays for itself in 2 or 3 alignments.
some of them will give you a hard time if you go TOO often saying "lifetime alignment is not meant for racers"............all the stores except the newest one cant get my car on the rack. so make sure the one you will take it to can get your car on.........need an in ground lift for being super low.
The techs seem to leave my steering wheel off center so i always have to go back. but that is just luck of the draw

yea but "racers" don't wanna spend 80$ before track and after track event =p
or in most peoples cases, just lowering and adjusting susp randomly and every XXXX amount of miles to keep it in check

Not in CA, but I have the lifetime alignments through Firestone and it's been great. I don't need them too often in comparision to my ex, but it's already paid itself off.
i paid 159.99 for the lifetime two months ago and it should pay off in the long run...as long as you can get the car on the rack is what they care about unless you end up with a ***** who says you need a camber kit or adjustable ball joints...!!!

As far as getting on the rack, sometimes you might have to go to a few Firestones before you find one your car can fit on.
When you have the counter monkey tell you they can't adjust certain things, a talk to the tech might help out. Just explain how you understand, but to just adjust what can be adjusted.

i got this and been to them like 3 times within the year and half i've own my car. will worth it. i just tell them to adjust my toes and stuff
damn ama hit up the local firestones cos damn i paid 70 for a damn alignment and ma **** toe wasnt even set to zero just "within spec"
also takin off bumpers and fenders might help cos my car was tucking tire and hella sunk and i saw the tech trinna wiggle that machine the put in the wheel. and when i look at my frent wheels they kinda seem toe out even tho the spec sheet said the toe is + (toe in)

An alignment here costs about $60. My lifetime alignment cost me $150. When I put new tires, wheels/tires or change my suspension then I should check out my alignment. This makes a lot more sense than paying $60 each time.
Either way, I expect a car to need more than 3 alignments before it blows up.
worth it if your the type that keeps on switching or raising/lowering your suspention. They only do it under oem specs. Cant have custom alignments.
i heard there is a place in sac that doesn't mind if your lowered and will even align it to the specs you want. Is this true and which one?
i'll need to get an alignment soon when i put on some new suspension.

i went to firestone to get the lifetime alignment and they said they wouldnt align it because my lower ball joints are bad and they said they cant sell me the lifetime alignment because of the suspension modifications i have. i took it to my buddy who works at les schwab and we checked the ball joints were cool but my tie rods were somewhat going out. he was able to align it there. im just saying the firestone here the bay area is bullshit
