Default help with tweeter (how to connect)

just bought a pair of tweeter:
500 WATT
4~8 Ohm

it come with resistor:
3.3 uf
100v
NP 85 C


dont wanna blown...
- do i need a crossover?
- on my deck i can adjust TREBLE to 10k, 12k, 15k, 17k hz
also Subout, Bass, Middle.

(DONT KNOW HOW MANY WATT ON MY DECK)


any help? sry am a noob with this... n wat should i adjust to?

most tweeter kits come with built in in line cross overs just splice (connect) to the door speakers

i would use a crossover, just so u can set your tweeter for a certain freq.

all i did with mine was tap it into the door speaker wire, and ive taken it as high as my stock stereo will take it!

Some Advice: Set the treble to the lowest setting and turn up the volume to the highest you'd ever want to hear it at. Then raise the treble to as high as youd ever want to hear it, and thats about the safest and cheapest way you can save your tweets. with mine, I still have to turn the settings down cause my freinds say it hurts their ears! hahaha
