Default y8 to z6 swap???

So recently my y8 locked up and i found a z6 fs locally. So heres my question. Is it possible to use my obd2 harness for the z6? Im already running a obd2 to obd1 jumper to a p28.

Yes you can but only if you swap the distributor plug on the obd2 harness to the obd1 plug. The plugs on the injectors and alternator will be different. You can use the injectors and alternator from the y8 in your z6. I did that and it runs just fine.

the y8 has a crankshaft fluctuation sensor on the oil pump that the z6 does not. since you are running a p28 you don't have to worry about it. just leave it unplugged.

The z6 head has a different bolt pattern for the distributor than the y8 head...swap the guts from the y8 dist into the z6 dist...

The sensors on the intake manifold are a little different, to avoid adding/subtracting extending/shortening wires just swap intake setups....

^yep. otherwise you'll need to move the wiring for the iat from the intake pipe over to the #1 intake runner on the z6 intake manifold.
