Default Best way to separate barrels on 3 piece wheel?

I have torn down a set of 18" work equips they are a 3 piece wheel and when i was close to undoing the last few bolts holding the centers in, the air released from the tire, now the centers are refinished and i want to make sure they dont leak upon reassembly, do i need to have the tires pulled off the wheel to separate the barrels? Or is it not neccessary to silicone the wheels since the barrels were not pulled apart. Im a noob to this so i dont know how to properly have them separated if i need to reseal them.

next time you might wanna take the tires off...... the rim could explode in front of you. call it luck if it did not happen. but i would put the bolts back on and go to a tire shop and have the rims taken off then silicone them. remember the bead is held on with pressure on the lip
