How many quarts in each? Aldo have another off topic question. For the starter, which connenter goes where? There is one connector on the Battery cord that connects to the battery and another one that is on the starter itself. Where do they go on the starter? Sorry this is such a noob question.

This is a good post, I have wondered about which oil to use. I have used, Royal Purple, and Mobil 1 in my Accord and CRX, and Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and Amzoil in my moms CRV. Royal Purple is deffinetely more expensive, I was fairly satisfied with it and it seemed to kind of clean the inside of both engines I used it in, however I did noticed it was only rated SL instead of SM the highest rating like most oil is, I dont know how important this is though. I've heard lots of good things about Amzoil, and it seemed to do fine, although another more expensive and harder to come by choice. Mobil 1 I havent really expeirenced anything great with, but seems to do fine. I imagine as long as you don't get the cheap stuff you should should be fine, and I always try to stay with synthetics.

amsoils signature line may seem more expensive but because of the change intervals it is worth it. with amsoil you should be using the amsiol filter since it filters out better because of the technology in it (nanofiber). You will be fine if you use a quality oil along with a quality filter (oem, wix, mobil, k&n) notice i did not mention fram or your other cheaper filter. I do not know why people fall for the royal purple scheme is it the color? the color will disappear after a couple of miles and you will never see it purple other than when you pour it in. The astm testing that was done showed that rp was not as good as it competitors as it claims to be. this testing was done by a independent lab. the testing that rp provides was done in house from what i was told and their oil always comes out on top.

Pennzoil is the best. I have no doubts about that. I also use fram oil filters. Sure fram isn't something "special" but it keeps my engine clean. I have worked on cars for ten years and been a professional mechanic for seven and the one thing I've learned is go by experience not tests. After all, someone has to pay for those tests and the government isn't forking out the money to see who's best. So who's paying?

I'd use Honda MTF in the trans and Eneos 5w30 in the engine.

Honda and all the other oem manufactures do not produce parts, they produce cars. Honda has switched the company that makes their filter to FILTECH wich is supposable the same company that make fram filter. They may be made by the same company but to honda standards they are not frams relabeled the Honda oil filters. along with the oil filter media being different the bypass valve is a much better design than the fram. the video just takes apart filter and does not examine the media of the filter (http://people.msoe.edu/~yoderw/oilfi...tml#conclusion) this site goes into filter media and design. The thing about this youtube video is that they just show the filter visually but do not go over filter design, media and specs to the average bear the media may look the same but the micron ratings are different. i just hope that people do not buy crap filters since they do not offer the protection that other filters could with a little bit more money.
