Default trying to do a clutch on stock eg d15

wassup guys

i just bought a 93 eg everything stock with 120k miles clutch never replaced , clutch pedal feels real soft, slave cylinder was replaced, it still grabs and shifts fine, but i have to release the pedal really high for it to grab,
i always like a firm heavy pedal with lesser travel for the clutch to engage, so i tried to adjust at tranny to make it lower , it won work, does this mean i need a new clutch kit

im thinking to put in a new exedy clutch kit off ebay , ive never done a clutch before , what are the things i need to pay attention to?

thanks

Did you bleed it right after installing the slave cylinder?

I don't think a new clutch is needed.

Check for a fluid leak above the clutch pedal and at the firewall. If not leaks are found, bleed the clutch thoroughly and then adjust the clutch pedal.

First check carefully for any leaks and replace any leaking part (e.g., MC). Then buy a One-Man-Bleed Tool and do this:
