Anyone have experience with replacement fenders?
I dented the driver fender up pretty bad and i'm looking for replacements.. i've found plenty of cheap replacements online like http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByDepa...er/HONDA/CIVIC for example.. just wondering if anyones used any aftermarket non honda parts and had any problems with fitment or anything.. thanks!
Your link doesn't work but Certifit makes decent aftermarket body panels and they aren't too expensive. Don't forget to look in your local junk yard or pull it yard, too.
i've heard things about the mounts not lining up perfectly. takes a little bending. i'm in the same boat. need a driver's side fender. just haven't had enough time to go look through the scrap yard.
Look for parts that are either oem new, oem used, or CAPA Certified OEM Style replacement parts.
CAPA Certified parts meet or exceed OEM specifications for all parts that are labeled as such.
I have had good luck with them, but I guess you have to make sure you are dealing with a legitimate seller otherwise you may very well get a part that is not CAPA certified, but is marketed/sold as such.

Anything that's not OEM will not fit perfectly, but the aftermarket metal is pretty easy to bend into the shape you need. I recommend looking through the marketplace and finding a good condition used OEM fender.
