Icon2 JDM H22A EGR, Cleaning???

Ok i have a jdm h22a swap in my accord. And i'm throwing the EGR code and I've come to the conclusion that I need to clean the ports on the intake manifold. I replaced everything else first, off a donor car cause the cleaning was the hardest thing. Anyways My question is I thought I would try and just take the EGR valve off and use a hanger/rod to the clean the ports from the square opening u have after removing the EGR Port. But I don't know if it because of the JDM motor but, when I remove the EGR Port and the square opening that I thought would run to the rest of the ports, on mine doesn't go any were. I stuck the rod in there and couldn't break anything free, cause I thought it was just that cloged up, but Its just a square cut out into the intake manifold that goes to nothing.... So my question is, is that because its a JDM motor and they don't have EGR systems???? Or does the square port not supposed to go to anything. I just don't want to take the time and clean all those ports to have to replace the intake manifold with a USDM one later.... Any info on this would be great.....

P.S. I know there are a million EGR cleaning threads But nothing about JDM motors.

The JDM P13 does support EGR. Cleaning the EGR ports wont fix a code 12 on an OBD1 system. OBD1 does not moniter EGR flow. Check the lift sensor, frequency solenoid, and associated vacuum hoses.

Oh and the only thing that I don't have hooked up is the Air Boost Valve(Have no idea what its for??) or the By-Pass Control Solenoid Valve? I don't know if that matters??? But for the Vacuum Diagram, I went off of this- http://www.accordracing.com/showthread.php?t=7709 and for some reason the By-Pass Control I didn't have the wiring, cause I'm using the Accord LX harness but I thought that was just for the secondaries so I didn't think that mattered... Any more help would be great guys I'm stumped and I need to get emission on this thing... The Car runs great it does idle a little low if that matters too(Just trying to give all the info I can)..

The EGR system is separate of the air boost valve and IAB control. P13s dont just throw a code 12. Something is wrong with the EGR system. Break out a manual.

^ So your saying that if I were to clean the EGR ports that it would still have the code, there is just something else wrong?
