Why are LS trannies so expensive? What else should I lok 4?
Since they are so much Im going to have to look for another transmission. What would be a go choice since Im going turbo? I want something that has good acceleration but also has under 3,500rpm @ 75 on the freeway. Which tranny should I look for or what have you had your best results with? Oh yeah, what clutch should I look for> Ive herd some opinions, just doin some reasearch before I drop $$$ on a very important part.

Well in your signature you say u have a EF DX. Do you still have a d-series motor in it? If you do have a b-series motor then your best and probably your only bet is the LS tranny. If you have a d-series tranny then the best choice would be the JDM L3 D15 tranny...these are the long gear trannies for boost.
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.
look for 90-93 ls tranny if your looking for a ls tranny because the ls tranny only comes cable type in those years anything newer then that is hydro actavated
i wouldn't go for the ls tranny even w/ boost it sucks...it's too lonnnggg get a b16 or b17 tranny and fit a ls 5th gear if you want a low highway revs....longer gears-longer in boost, does not equal faster acceleration...just the opposite

the LS tranny gearing is better for most boost applications. just depends on what type of driving you are doing, what type of racing, budget, etc... if you are running a decent amount of boost then you will fly through the gears too quick.... all the time you are spending shifting could be better spent accelerating.
