Default Moog Suspension Component Quality?

Hey guys,

I just finished replacing all of the front suspension bushings in my ITR with hardrace units and in the process accidentally tore the boot on a lower ball joint. I'm going to replace the boot with OEM Honda and re-grease for now, but I was looking at replacing both lower ball joints, tie rod ends, and upper control arms after the next 10K or so because the OEM rubber boots have really deteriorated after 12 years of use (none are leaking yet though except the one I tore).

Are Moog suspension components of comparable quality to OEM (i.e. will they last at least 50-60K with occasional track days and autocross)?

Thanks!

I've replaced all applicable suspension components with MOOG parts on my EG, and I'll be doing the same with my EP3 next week. MOOG makes the best products I have seen for suspension. The quality is top notch and the grease fittings allow you to flush the grease out every year or so to make sure it's fresh.

I would choose MOOG over OEM for replacement parts.

^^^What he said. Those parts are made in Japan and seem high quality. I wouldn't doubt that Honda gets some of their parts from them.

I needed a set of tie rod ends in a hurry and Moog was the best choice that I had locally. One box had a 19mm jam nut and the other had a 17mm jam nut. One of the grease fittings was pretty tough to get in, I really had to force it in. Visually the parts looked OK and they have not been any trouble but I have only put about 500 miles on them. Personally, I would always choose OEM over Moog but sometimes that is not possible.

have any of you guys tried they strut rubber covers? The ones on my Buddy Club tore and need replacements but don't want to go through BC cuz I'll be repacing it again after 8 months or less

Do you think dust could ruin the struts from driving w/ no covers on? I live in NC and only drive back and forth to school..15 min each way, so they don't get that dirty.

Thanks for the input guys, I will definitely be going with a combination of Moog/OEM when the time comes.
