Is there a good quality glass polish kit out there?
i have some light scratches on my rear window and would like to try to polish them out. I have found a few kit that are from 40-60 dollars, but have not heard much about them. Does anything work well? If not I am going to replace the glass it's such an eyesore.
this may or may not help you but i used to have bad water spots on my windshield and other windows. my uncle and i decided to experiment with a random orbital buffer and some turtle wax rubbing compound. we cleaned the glass, applied rubbing compound directly on the glass, sprayed a little water and went to work with the orbital. we made sure the compound wasn't too dry while buffing it out. after a few minutes on a section, we took a cotton towel and wiped the residue... and what do ya know, no more hard water spots. it even took out fine scratches and windshield wiper marks off the glass lol. it worked great, but after a while the scratches came back after a few months. plan on doin it again soon.
Well I have a kit that will be getting in today, and a customer of mine has a DC2 that he is wanting me to polish his windshield.
To actually polish glass you need cerium oxide.
This is the kit that I ordered.
