This probably happens alot but some ******* broke into my eg and stole my radio. I just bought a new one and installed it only to find that it doesnt even turn on. Its wired correctly and the fuses arent blown. I tried it in my friends car and it works perfectly fine. Im guessing its a wiring problem in the car itself or maybe just a fuse i dont know abt. N e ideas on where to start and how i can fix this?? Thanks.

 

Check your ground wire maybe.

 

Check the voltage on the ignition turn on wire. (red one)
This is wuts happened to 3 civics that ive put stereos in.

 

Use a voltmeter to check your wires. 12V, Remote turn-on, and ground.

 

Check the 7.5 amp "Back up" fuse in the under the hood fuse box, if the thief didn't disconnect the cable from your negative battery terminal before yanking out your previous stereo, this fuse is probably blown. you should have a spare one in one of the spare slots in your under dash fuse box.
