103mph is a good mph. are you on slicks? also 181 is a decent number. Motor not making power past 8k? awkward but thats just what your build does. Who did the headwork? oversized valves dont make power unless combustion chamber work is done with it. It can actually cause a loss in power.

yes we are on slicks haven't been since dyno has been done was expecting more for all the work that has been done head has some port work done to it running hondata s300 trying to get all we can out of motor tune before we start using the pro race fogger nitrous kit just can't figure out why power is falling off at 8000 rpm motor should be good to 9500 have a honda techician doing all work and main stream perf. in dallas ga tuning

To help, you should put up a dyno sheet...

Have you checked your valve timing? Is the belt on correctly at TDC?

i am not the mechanic, but as far as i know everything is supposed to be right, the dyno tech says it does'nt have enough compression at the spark plug hole for a 12 to 1 motor readings are 195,205,200 and 210 he says it should be at least 240 per hole this thing runs to good, have not done leak down test yet. first pull on dyno it made 144 hp on low cam pull before v/tec but with a 119 hp before tuning it went 13.3 now it has 181 hp and as good as it runs i'm going racing next week just to see what it will do
