What do you think the FASTEST b series to run 1/4 mile without using anything other than factory from valve cover to oil pan??

IE...
Gsr block.. itr block.. b 20 block... b16 head, gsr head, itr head....
All genuine Honda OEM!
Head can be ported!! But still must use all factory parts!!!
Factory Valves, Springs, Cams!!!

My Goal is to run HIGH HIGH 12.9999 (still a 12 sec car) all motor without using any aftermarket internals inside the motor. On slicks!! Not street tires!

Possible::?? I think so..

I have a GSR block with CTR pistons and a b16 head with type r cams. Skunk 2 pro intake/throttlebody, Hytech Replica header, 2 1/2 strait pipe to s2000 muffler, Head is ported, decked, along with the block being decked. ITR valve train, . im experimenting with the tunning process now.. hopefully put down low to mid 200whp area..Its in a 1993 Civic Eg Coupe. Ive had a 500+whp SOHC and I now am dipping into the NA world.. First NA set up and I am very happy with the way this car pulls..

 

i ran 12.80s all day stock gsr allmotor just boltons with itr 4.7 tranny & it prolly had a another 10th or 2 in it. i was running in the summer "florida" & on 23 inch slicks.

2060 with me in it.

only thing i had was blox yes i know lol blox intake manifold 64mm T/B ,itr 4-1 header ,ctr pulley,3 inch cai with bpi stack & 3 inch exhuast

so with mixing parts & better parts like ctr pistons cams pnp head n so on yes i think i could have went mid maybe low 12????12.20s???

Yah I have skunk 2 pro intake, throttle body, Hytech replica header, 2.5'' piping to s2000 muffler, i have a 4.4 final drive, and i plan on running 23'' tall slicks.. my car weight 1960 i believe with no back seats, no spare, nothing in back really..

 

mine was 1910 ...im 150 or i was back then lol ...goodluck tho. btw i droped 4, 10ths by geting the 98+ jdm itr trans.i was launching aroun 7600 to 8200 also if that helps.

 

Dayumm.. I have a 4.4 final drive.. May try for a 4.9 final... I wanna get 300+hp axles (dont wanna break factory's launching at 8000rpm),,.. Im ordering my traction bars, and few odds and ends in the next week.. hopefully post up some numberss soooon!!

 

i had oem axles.its all in the preload.

 

b20vtec! Nice bolt ons and a good tune, tranny, and you should have no problem getting into the 12s!

 

11s could be done with a light car pretty easily I think.

 

My buddy Neal ran and 11.8 in a gutted crx with stock k20a2 back in like 04.

 

12's all day with that setup and slicks

 

I want to do 12's with SLICKS and With a B SERIES...

 

He also went 11.98 with a B18C5, all it had was a comptech header. Everything else was factory parts.

 

Id love some more info on the c5 build, weight of car...etc

its people like that that make me look bad lol. I did good with turbo stuff, mid 11's with stock ls-t. but I still have alot to learn with all motor...

 

This is my whoolllee reason for starting an allll motor build! ive done the high hp turbo car.. Now i want a very quick street car/ RELIABLE power car. With this set up i know i can have the best of both worlds. I am thinking low to mid 12's if i finish gutting my car.. its not a very heavy coupe! i think ill be able to manage!
