max power run

when i first saw the numbers i was dumbfounded. then the tech explained to me the dyno was an older model and hadnt been calibrated in a while and was off by almost 30hp in most cases. the first three runs had a bad rpm reading between 6-8k so he re checked all the connections and did these four runs.
run four was the first of these. after a 15 minute cool down period the numbers jumped to 141 and incremently kept rising. at least the numbers are consistent with each other for the most part. i know the car's got a lot more in it. it drives strong, isnt sluggish at all. looks like i'll be taking it to another dyno to get more accurate numbers.
here's a vid of one of the bad runs

power still seems to be falling off a little sooner than it should. have you ever done a compression or leakdown test?
If the dude told me the dyno was off by 30 horsepower I would be asking for my money back and going to a different dyno...

I don't see why a hub dyno would necessarily be more accurate. I was under the impression that all dynos would need to be calibrated.
Hub dyno's tend to read higher. The whole point is that a dyno isn't an accurate tool for horsepower measuring, simply because there is no standard or consistency between most of them. Would you feel better if you went to a dyno and it read 250 whp?
Just take it to the track if you want to know how much power you have.

I understand and agree, but you want to get some idea of how much power you're making as well. I'm not saying that you're ever going to get down to the exact hp between dynos, or even within 5, but I would expect calibrated dynos to be within +/- 10hp. 30 is a long way off.
