Black Housing Headlight's, anyone tried them?
well i busted a headlight lamp the other day by dropping it after removing it from the car.(long story)
now im looking to buy a replacement today.
i've never been big on aftermarket exterior parts, especially lighting...
depo sells a set of replacement headlights that are very close to OEM look with just a small black trim around the inside of the housing.
i already like the look of my OEM lamps but can get a pair of these Depo lights for the same price as one OEM used lamp.
will they look bad/cheap?
anyone here ever use them?
my car is NBP by the way. i can post pics if needed.
here are the lamps.
any input is appreciated.

I have a fourth gen, but black housed headlights always look better in my opinion. Basically because I don't like the chromed out look on cars. I have the JDM One Piece Black Housed headlights on my fourth gen and it looks a lot better than the Chrome housed ones that were on it. Depends on your preference really, they won't look cheap or bad. The difference maker has a little bit to do with the color of your car too. Mine, for example, is black, so you notice how much darker the headlight assembly looks. My best friend has a blue fifth gen and you didn't really notice much cuz the blue overpowered being able to really see the inside of his headlight from far off.
But as for them looking bad or cheap. As I said they won't look cheap. They'll just look black instead of chrome obviously. And bad, that's on preference. Not sure what NBP is, i'm not much of a 5th gen fan. But I'm not a hater either.

The main thing with buying aftermarket lighting is to get things that are at least OEM replicas that hold the same bulbs as the OEM units. All that projector and LED stuff is the main garbage that lasts like a few months before they f up.
Agreed.
I would never buy halo/projector stuff.
The only reason I considered these is that they are exactly like OEM minus the black trim.
Even that is a big step for me.
What the hell, ill try em out and if I don't like them I I can sell for a small loss and replace my orginal light.
