Default cam advice

I am rebuilding my b18c5. What I am looking to get is around 200 WHP with a 50-75 shot of nitrous.

I have done reading on many cams and everyone has different opinions. I am looking for a general idea of what a good cams would be for a mostly stock ITR motor. Here is the setup im looking at:

Stock block but rebuilt as mine needs new rings with stock compression.
9lbs flywheel.
Password JDM powerchamber intake
Hytech header
custom 2.5 inch exhaust with no cat.
50-75 shot of nitrous
and tuned with hondata.

With the following setup what would be a decent street cam as this will be a daily driver. keep in mind im looking for 200whp without the spray.

only reason i ask for the help is during my readings im finding alot of people stating skunk2 stage 2s are better than pro series and vice versa. I friend of mine has a jdm b18c type R with jun 3s and head package and bolt ons and o nly dynoed in at 186whp but he has only a vafc tune with 2 inch exhaust. any feed back would be appreciated.

You won't get that power with stock compression. Period. Even with pretty aggressive camshafts. There are plenty of 11.5:1 + cars that are "daily driven" that will actually get to that power level with good cams from a variety of good companies. But what they have in common is increased compression, uprated valvetrain, and good intake manifold with the right engine management.

2 things right there is what's holding him back. for only 186whp.

1)V-AFC tune - What is this, 1999? ;-)
2)Stock 2" exhaust work that creates too much back pressure - Really holding him back

If he has Jun 3 cams (hopefully with matching uprated valvetrain) once he opens up the exhaust , a little better compression (11.0:1 is a little low for Jun3 but can work with with Mazworx and Skunk2) he'll get 200whp real fast.

As I stated in another post with another person. You can't just "throw in" cams and expect the world to come together here. there's more to it than a "JDM TYPE R" engine to do this right. Great platform to start from, now, time for the rest.

I totally agree with you on cant just throw in cams..i guess what i should have stated is that im looking for a good street cam with the corresponding valve train.I was never assuming that throwing in cams would make me oh so fast. just looking for some advice on a decent cam setup with valvetrain to put in with a stock compression type R . I plan on running custom 2.5 inch straight exhaust wiht actually an EMS for tuning. You mention compression, what is a safe compression to run on 91 octane pump gas? my overall goal is not to build a 10 second car but to build a nice daily driven street car with the spray to get me around 240ish WHP or maybe 250whp
As far as my friends car goes lol, he knows his vafc tune is crap and his little exhaust is holding him back. Im trying to do things that he didnt do right lol.
