did you change your core support out when you did the 99-00 conversion? odds are your car was wrecked before, and either has a bent core support and/or frame rail damage.

I have the same problem with my car. My hood and front bumper don't align either, my car has the SiR bumpers so they aren't the originals either...

Here is a pic, any suggestions of what it may be? (and no, my hood isn't open, that's as far as it goes)

well i just came back from a meet... And they told me the it all has to do with pulling the front, so what all my friends told me is to take it to the shop let them hook it up to the machine and pull the bumper support forward i mean i dont know what they do but they do it lololol.... so i guess stay tune for when i pull it and ill post before and after pictures....

my 94 sol has the same issue. i pulled the bumper off for paint and found the driver side corner crunched in about 1/2 inch. here's what it looks like and how i'm fixing it.

your problem is entirely dependent on the extent of the damage. if it's soemthing simple like mine, you could come up with a way to fix it easily. if the entire subframe is mangled and distorted, gfl.

here, fix by putting 2x4 between motor mount points on frame. use jack against the crunched bumper to push it back out where it should be, drill and bolt solid to get headlights/bumpers/fenders/hood to all line up perfectly again :D

are there any updates on this? I would love to see the final product. I just spent quite some money on a new paint job after a minor front end collision, and now my fenders/bumper/hood don't line up, so I will take it to another shop, if your visit was a success

Did you change the radiator support with the 00 Conversion or not

yeah, we did. it's a 98 dx with a 00 front end. swapped out a new core support, cause the old one was bent around the headlight. swapped new front everything, but there are gaps everywhere. i heard of some somewhere mentioning washers being used for the fenders (?) but i'm not sure how that really works

Sounds like more than the core support was damaged.

Possibly some frame damage. See post #2.

Tex it looks like your right, you do seem to have just a 99-00 bumper on it.

You have 2 options.

1. Get a 96-98 bumper cover and grille. This is cheaper and imo the way to go.
2. Get a hood, fenders and headlights from a 99-00. This is going to be expensive.

Can we get better pics, during the day?

Looks like they left the 96-98 fenders on it. Those need to be replaced, i can't what year hood it is from the pictures.

i think i might just need a new bumper cuz seems like the fenders n hood line up , maybe lights or its just the bumper that makes em look off

Pull the front bumper, and start playing with the headlights.

Ebay headlights are definetly not helping things.

Your issue why the front end doesn't line up is because:

- You have a 1999-2000 hood, front bumper, and grille
- Your fenders are 1996-1998
- Your headlights are 1996-1998

Ahh ****. Why didn't I notice that?

Indeed you need fenders/headlights, or convert it back to 96-98

So my best option would be 99-00 fenders and lights? Would I need moding to put fenders on?
