has anybody done this conversion?
what's needed to do the conversion?
would the wiring be the same for the 00 taillights?

 

I believe you need the trunk and inner tailights from a '99-'00 Civic sedan, and you have to mess with the wiring as well. I'm not a guru on this generation sedan, so I'd wait until someone else with a bit more knowledge chimes in

 

you need 99-00 trunk lid, full set of tail lights, and rear bumper. The lights for the 99-00 have reverse lights on top instead of the bottom.

well the wiring is the same but the plugs are different. also for the outter lights you'll have to drill the holes out a little. Besides that everything is cake.

 

so, all i need is the trunk, rear bumper, and taillights with plugs?

make sure when u get the trunk and tails u get all the plugs with them and its pretty much self explanatory !!!!!!!! i have done that swap a few times

The outer lamps will not match up. 96 outer lamps are slightly rounded. You may need to cut quarter panels and fab it up.

haha yea like i said before for the outter lights all you gotta do is drill ur stock holes a little bit so the 99-00 ones can fit better.
