i justgot a msd cap and not sure what the yellow and red wire go to. does it go to the blaster coil??

 

yellow and red wire? the cap shouldnt have any yellow and red wires attached to it.

 

i bought it from damonboost and guess he had it setup for something gota ask him i guess.

 

oh u got it from damon, eh? cool. well usually the MSD caps come with an extra male fitting for the external coil wires. has that been tampered with at all? if he modified the cap to connect a male fitting to it... or did something that involved 2 wires then you might have to ask him. the MSD caps are usually just easy direct replacements. the only time you do mess with wires is if youre installing the msd amp to the wires on the distributor, that used to be connected to the internal coil. you might not even have to use those wires that damon sent. ask him and let me know what those two wires were for.

 

I have '99 GSR but the MSD caps I see only go up to '97. Can I still use those or am I SOL? Thanks!

 

good question. im not too familiar with the GSR caps. best way is to contact MSD and find out the differences between both and see where you can go from there.

I have the MSD cap on my GSR and I used PN# 8293, it is just a typo on MSD's part.
